Apakah hal ini benar? Jawabannya: tidak selalu seperti itu. Beberapa hasil penelitian mengenai hal ini telah dibantah. Mulanya ada dugaan seperti ini: bila Anda makan di pagi hari, maka Anda tidak akan merasa lapar di siang hari dan Anda akan mengonsumsi lebih sedikit kalori di malam hari saat tubuh Anda paling tidak aktif. Namun, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak masalah kapan Anda mendapatkan kalori. Tubuh tetap melakukan proses metabolisme, baik pada pagi, siang atau malam hari.&nbsp; Namun memang ada satu penelitian yang menemukan adanya perbedaan kesehatan antara tidak sarapan dan tidak makan malam. Dalam penelitian tersebut, subjek yang tidak sarapan, terjadi peningkatan risiko peradangan dalam darah. Penelitian lain menemukan bahwa berat badan seseorang bisa turun apabila ia mengubah rutinitasnya, dengan memulai rutinitas baru dengan sarapan atau dengan tidak sarapan. Dalam kedua kasus tersebut, pelaku diet yang mengubah waktu, biasanya mengonsumsi kalori lebih sedikit sehingga berat badannya bisa menurun lebih banyak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ingus berwarna hijau artinya infeksi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Banyak orang beranggapan bahwa ingus yang berwarna hijau berarti infeksi, dan harus minum antibiotik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apakah hal ini benar? Jawabannya: tidak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Untuk memahami hal ini, ada baiknya mengetahui cara kerja antibiotik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antibiotik membantu tubuh Anda melawan infeksi bakteri, hanya infeksi bakteri. Padahal sebagian besar pilek disebabkan oleh virus. Antibiotik sama sekali tidak berguna melawan virus. Warna ingus tidak menunjukkan adanya infeksi bakteri, karena kemungkinan besar penyebabnya adalah virus, juga dapat menyebabkan ingus berwarna hijau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jadi ingus yang berwarna hijau bukan berarti memerlukan terapi antibiotik, lalu bagaimana?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berikut beberapa tanda infeksi bakteri:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demam tinggi yang tidak kunjung membaik.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ingus kental dan berwarna putih seperti nanah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sudah sakit selama lebih dari 10 hari.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gejala parah dan tidak membaik dengan pengobatan flu biasa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kebanyakan gula membuat anak hiperaktif<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Banyak orang tua yang mengaitkan perilaku anak yang rewel dan nakal dengan tingginya kadar gula pada makanan anak-anak mereka. Namun sebenarnya gula tidak mendorong perilaku hiperaktif pada anak-anak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mitos ini terus berlanjut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pada awal tahun 1970-an ada diet yang disebut Diet Feingold, yaitu menghilangkan gula dan bahan tambahan makanan lainnya untuk membantu menenangkan anak-anak. Para peneliti mengamati bahwa tidak ada perbedaan antara anak-anak yang mengonsumsi gula dan anak-anak yang tidak mengonsumsi gula. Dalam sebuah penelitian, dipilih anak-anak yang dianggap sensitif terhadap gula, bersama dengan anak-anak biasa. Para peneliti memberi anak-anak gula dan dua pengganti gula untuk melihat bagaimana bahan kimia berbeda ini mengubah perilaku mereka.
