Di Indonesia sendiri, hewan yang paling sering disembelih sebagai kurban adalah kambing. Selain kambing mudah didapatkan, harganya pun lebih terjangkau jika dibandingkan dengan hewan kurban lainnya, seperti sapi.<br>Nah, sebelum kita menikmati beberapa olahan daging kambing, ada baiknya jika kita mengetahui beberapa manfaat konsumsi daging kambing untuk kesehatan kita. Berdasarkan Nutrition Journal, fosfor dan kalsium adalah mineral yang membantu menjaga kepadatan tulang agar tetap kuat. Sedangkan kalium, pada jurnal Osteophorosis International dijelaskan jika dapat membantu menetralkan kadar asam pada tubuh sehingga mengurangi risiko berkurangnya kadar kalsium dalam tulang, sehingga kepadatan tulang tetap terjaga.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meningkatkan massa otot<br>Daging kambing merupakan sumber protein yang mengandung beberapa jenis asam amino. Dalam riset Journal of The International Society of Sport Nutrition, protein dan asam amino mampu meningkatkan massa otot tubuh. Pada penelitian lain dijelaskan jika daging kambing dan daging hewan secara umum memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan pembentukan protein di otot daripada protein nabati.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Menjaga kesehatan jantung<br>Siapa sangka, daging kambing ternyata mampu menjaga jantung agar tetap sehat. Kandungan kalium pada daging kambing yang cukup tinggi ternyata mampu membantu mempermudah kinerja jantung saat memompa darah, jadi ritme detak jantung pun tetap normal. Selain itu, kalium ternyata mampu menstabilkan tekanan darah, karena membantu membuang natrium berlebih pada tubuh melalui urine. Sekedar informasi, natrium merupakan salah satu pemicu hipertensi, lho!<br>Selain itu, ternyata kandungan gizi pada daging kambing terbukti rendah kolesterol. Kolesterol yang rendah akan mengurangi risiko terjadinya penyumbatan pada pembuluh darah yang dapat mengakibatkan ragam penyakit jantung.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membantu diet<br>Mengkonsumsi daging kambing dapat membantu kita dalam mengurangi asupan kalori harian saat sedang diet defisit kalori, karena daging kambing terbukti memiliki kalori yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan daging sapi atau ayam. Selain itu, dengan mengkonsumsi daging kambing, kita dapat mengurangi rasa lapar, hal ini disebabkan karena protein mampu mengurangi kadar hormon pemicu rasa lapar.
