Kolesterol yang berlebihan tidak baik untuk kesehatan. Sepertiga orang dewasa memiliki kadar kolesterol tinggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gejala Tinggi Kolesterol<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolesterol tinggi tidak menimbulkan gejala apa pun. Terlalu banyak kolesterol dapat menumpuk di pembuluh darah, menyebabkan arteri menjadi keras (aterosklerosis) sehingga hal ini menyebabkan hambatan aliran darah yang dapat menyebabkan masalah medis yang serius seperti serangan jantung atau stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pemeriksaan Kolesterol<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"72\" height=\"96\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-7.png?resize=72%2C96&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1319\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Orang dewasa di atas usia 20 tahun harus memeriksakan kadar kolesterolnya setiap empat hingga enam tahun. &nbsp;Skrining kolesterol dilakukan dengan tes darah yang mengukur tiga hal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kolesterol low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (kolesterol Jahat)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kolesterol high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (kolesterol&nbsp; Baik)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trigliserida<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LDL: Kolesterol Jahat<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"78\" height=\"95\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-6-1.png?resize=78%2C95&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1317\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolesterol low-density lipoprotein (LDL), sering disebut sebagai kolesterol \u201cjahat\u201d, adalah jenis kolesterol yang cenderung menumpuk di dinding arteri. Sel darah putih berikatan dengan kolesterol LDL, membentuk plak penyempit arteri, yang menghambat aliran darah. &nbsp;Kadar kolesterol LDL yang optimal adalah 100 mg\/dL atau lebih rendah. &nbsp;Jika ada penyakit jantung, maka turunkan kadar LDL 70 mg\/dL atau lebih rendah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>HDL: Kolesterol Baik<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"79\" height=\"95\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-4.png?resize=79%2C95&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1318\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tidak semua kolesterol itu buruk. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Kolesterol high-density lipoprotein (HDL) adalah kolesterol &#8220;baik&#8221; karena berfungsi menjaga LDL, atau kolesterol &#8220;jahat&#8221; supaya tidak menumpuk di pembuluh darah. Semakin tinggi HDL, semakin baik. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Kadar HDL &gt; 60 mg\/dL dapat membantu mengurangi risiko penyakit jantung. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Sebaliknya, kadar HDL &lt; 40 mg\/dL merupakan faktor risiko tinggi terkena penyakit jantung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Trigliserida<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Trigliserida adalah sejenis lemak dalam darah. Kadar trigliserida normal adalah &lt; 150 mg\/dL. Kadar yang lebih tinggi dari itu dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit jantung dan sindrom metabolik, yang juga merupakan faktor risiko penyakit jantung, diabetes, dan stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faktor risiko trigliserida tinggi, antara lain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"71\" height=\"95\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-9.png?resize=71%2C95&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1320\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kegemukan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diabetes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Merokok<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Penyalahgunaan alkohol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tidak aktif\/Kurang berolahraga<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kolesterol Total<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Kadar kolesterol total merupakan kombinasi kadar LDL, HDL, dan VLDL (very low-density lipoprotein, kolesterol \u201cjahat\u201d). &nbsp;Kolesterol total optimal &lt; 200 mg\/dL. Kadar &gt; 200 mg\/dL, termasuk tinggi dan berisiko lebih besar terkena penyakit jantung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rasio Kolesterol<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Arti rasio kolesterol dan jumlah kolesterol total (HDL, LDL, dan VLDL) adalah perbandingan antara rasio kolesterol&nbsp;dan jumlah kolesterol total dibagi jumlah kolesterol HDL. &nbsp;Misalnya, kolesterol total 200 dan skor HDL 40; 200 dibagi 40 dan hasilnya adalah rasio 5 banding 1. &nbsp;Semakin rendah rasionya, semakin rendah pula risiko penyakit jantung. Rasio kolesterol optimalnya adalah 3,5 banding 1. Rasio ini dapat membantu menilai risiko penyakit jantung<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kolesterol dari Makanan<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"80\" height=\"105\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-10.png?resize=80%2C105&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1321\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolesterol dalam makanan tidak sama dengan kolesterol dalam darah. Ada dua jenis individu, yaitu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pada 70% individu, kolesterol dalam makanan hanya berpengaruh minimal terhadap kadar kolesterol dalam darah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30% individu, kadar kolesterol darahnya bisa melonjak setelah makan makanan tinggi kolesterol.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Harus menghindari makanan tinggi lemak jenuh dan lemak trans, seperti minyak, daging berlemak, produk susu full fat, kuning telur, dan makanan cepat saji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Riwayat Kesehatan Keluarga<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"80\" height=\"95\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-14.png?resize=80%2C95&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1332\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mengonsumsi makanan tinggi kolesterol dan lemak jenuh bukan satu-satunya penyebab tingginya kadar kolesterol, bisa juga karena faktor genetik. Kondisi genetik yang disebut hiperkolesterolemia familial dapat menyebabkan tingginya kadar kolesterol darah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Faktor Risiko Kolesterol Tinggi<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"80\" height=\"96\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gleneagles.co.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Asset-16.png?resize=80%2C96&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1325\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pola makan tinggi lemak trans (sebagian besar adalah lemak yang dibuat melalui proses industri yang menambahkan hidrogen ke makanan olahan), lemak jenuh, dan kolesterol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Kelebihan berat badan atau obesitas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Gaya hidup yang tidak banyak aktifitas fisik\/bergerak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faktor risiko lain yang tidak dapat dikendalikan meliputi usia (risiko meningkat seiring bertambahnya usia), jenis kelamin (risiko kolesterol tinggi pada wanita meningkat paska menopause), dan riwayat keluarga.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Jenis Kelamin<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanita umumnya memiliki kadar HDL atau kolesterol \u201cbaik\u201d yang lebih tinggi karena hormon estrogen pada wanita dapat meningkatkan kadar HDL. Inilah sebabnya mengapa kebanyakan wanita cenderung memiliki kadar kolesterol lebih rendah dibandingkan pria. Setelah menopause, kadar trigliserida mulai meningkat.
