Makanan cepat saji telah berkembang pesat di seluruh dunia, dan popularitasnya terus meningkat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Di balik segala kenikmatannya, makanan cepat saji bisa meningkatkan risiko kesehatan. Banyak bukti menunjukkan bahwa mengonsumsi produk makanan cepat saji secara berlebihan, tidak baik untuk kesehatan, baik dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut studi, makanan cepat saji cenderung mengandung berbagai zat yang umumnya tidak sehat. Misalnya, tinggi gula, garam, lemak jenuh atau trans, dan banyak bahan pengawet dan bahan olahan, tetapi rendah nutrisi yang diperlukan tubuh. Konsumsi makanan jenis ini untuk sehari-hari sebenarnya tidak disarankan. Namun, karena alasan praktis, cepat, enak dan mengenyangkan, akhirnya tidak sedikit orang yang menggemarinya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam sebuah penelitian disampaikan ada beberapa dampak mengkonsumsi makanan cepat saji bagi kesehatan di antaranya:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Remaja yang mengonsumsi makanan cepat saji dengan asupan energi total yang tinggi, memiliki risiko sebesar 2,27 kali&nbsp; lebih banyak mengalami obesitas. Kebiasaan makan yang salah pada anak maupun remaja akan meningkatkan kejadian obesitas, salah satunya adalah kebiasaan makan makanan cepat saji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Makanan cepat saji menyebabkan lonjakan gula darah dengan cepat karena karbohidrat olahan dan tambahan gula. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan orang merasa lelah. Insulin meningkatkan rasa lapar dalam waktu singkat setelah makan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Padahal, makanan tersebut mengandung garam yang tinggi yang dapat meningkatkan air liur dan sekresi enzim, sehingga meningkatkan keinginan untuk terus makan makanan tersebut. Tingginya kandungan lemak jahat dan natrium mengganggu keseimbangan sodium dan potasium dalam tubuh, sehingga menyebabkan hipertensi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Sebuah studi tahun 2015 menemukan bahwa satu kali mengonsumsi makanan cepat saji yang tinggi lemak jenuhnya meningkatkan peradangan saluran napas pada penderita asma. Peradangan ini dapat memicu serangan asma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Studi di Eropa menyebutkan bahwa konsumsi makanan cepat saji yang terlalu sering dapat meningkatkan risiko kanker kolorektal. Hal ini karena makanan cepat saji kurang mengandung serat, namun tinggi gula dan lemak. Ciri-cirinya antara lain makan yang tidak terkendali, makan dalam porsi lebih besar dari kebanyakan orang normal, perasaan tidak dapat berhenti makan, atau mengontrol jumlah asupan makan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penelitian dari tahun 2018 dan penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara konsumsi makanan cepat saji dan kejadian kecanduan makanan terhadap makanan rendah nutrisi tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebuah studi kecil tahun 2017 terhadap 15 orang dewasa menemukan bahwa makan lemak berlebihan dalam satu hari merusak sensitivitas insulin. Hal ini kemudian dapat memicu siklus binge feeding atau gangguan makan berlebihan. Jika Anda sering mengonsumsi makanan siap saji dan ingin terhindar dari beberapa bahayanya, tidak ada salahnya untuk segera konsultasikan kepada dokter.
